Cocoa Beach

We went for a ride, headed south on Route 1 and A1A and ended up in Cocoa Beach.  But of course you know how I am about different looking skies.  Isn't this awesome?

The peir was huge, we walked on most of it.  Gift shops, bars, restaurants.

Problem is, when we got to that last building, we would have had to pay to walk to the end...not worth it.  It's a good thing we went back to the car, our meter had run out of money and we were about to get a $35.00 ticket.  It would have made the walk to the end of the pier quite expensive.

Enough birds?

The beaches just go on and on.  This was from the other side of the pier.

This is home for 3 months.

The entrance to the campground.
Seasons In The Sun  (this is a link)
Great to see those palm trees on the median on the drive going in.

This is the office where we pick up our mail.

I love the Spanish Moss hanging from the trees, see the gray stuff?

Here's a closeup.   You see this stuff on the top of plants pots when you get an artificial plant,

We have grapefruit trees and orange trees,  This one is grapefruil.

This is our resident Alligator.

Strange flies here, we found this one on the ourside of our screen door, good thing it wasn't on the inside.

Three of us voluntired at the local SPCA Animal Shelter, I only go 2-3 hours a week.  There's a building for dogs and one for cats, I plan on spending most of my time with the cats, I need my cat fix.

Sorry this has taken so long to post, something's going on with this.  Sometimes it gets stuck downloading loading pictures and I have to get out of it.  Sometimes it just takes a long time.

Downtown Disney

We went to Downtown Disney, mostly souvenire stores and displays but it was really cool, and FREE.

The first thing we did is go eat.

The lights were all big sea creatures.

It was like a giant ice cave.
There were all kinds of different mechanical dinasaurs.

Then there was the Loggo's, there were so many big displays, it was incredible.  This sea serpant was all make out of Leggos

You gotta click on this picture to make it larger, you can see the Leggos.

Then of course the Tinkertoys.  I was expecting ti see an Erector Set or Lincoln Logs display, maybe there was on the other end, we didn't see the entire place.  That was on New Year's Eve.  There was a party at the lodge so we went to that and actually saw midnight.
