Grand Ole Opry

There are many things to do in Nashville, most cost money, quite a bit, so we had to choose and our first choice was the Grand Ole Opry.

Our seats were up in the mezzanine.  This is when we first got there, the seats pretty much filled up by the time the show started.

I loved the way the barn background kept changing colors.

This is Bill Anderson, he was popular in the 60's

This is Terri Clark, the only Canadian female member of the Grand Ole Opry.  You can barely see her sitting on a stool.  Her present show is called "Alone and Unplugged", all you get is her and her guitar, she's good.  Note the color of the barn.

This is George Hamilton IV.  He was popular in the late 50's and 60's.  I have several 45rpm records by him.  His son George V accompanies him now, he is over to the left..

This is Justin Moore, an up and comming singer.  He's recently had 2 number one hits, "Backwoods" and "Small Town USA"

This is "Little" Jimmy Dickens.  He's 89 years old, can't sing too good anymore, but what a comedian.  He was absolutely hillarious.

This is Lee Greenwood, most of his popularity was in the 80's.  I believe his latest hit was "God Bless the USA"

  1. So glad you chose the Grand Ole Opry. I have heard it is well worth the money. I recognized many of those you mentioned in your blog.

Thanks for sharing and wishing you a great day!
