It's really 8/18, but I'm dating these the day we were there, otherwise I'll get confused. We've been many days without internet or phone service.
We visited the North Gate of Yellowstone so we could see the Roosevelt Arch.

Here is another angle.
On the way back we saw some Big Horn Sheep.
These apparently aren't very old, their horns aren't very long. You can tell how old they are by the ridges in their horns.
We hadn't seen any bear yet, so the camp host told us where to go to spot them. It was a 6 mile dirt road off the main road. The scenery was awesome, it was very slow riding, and we did not see any bear until we got back to the main road, right accross from the end of the dirt road.
This is Roaring Mountain and that's not snow. I guess this is where the magma is the closest to the surface, there are many vent holes near the top.
Just another example of the beautiful scenery and winding roads.
That huge boulder has water running down the front of it, it looked really cool.
Needless to say, we got rain that day. It was weird, there was rain in some spots and the sun was shining in others.
Another road block, I feel bad for those 2 motorcyclinsts.
There was a river on the other side of the road. See the buffalo crossing between the car and trailer, one would rub itself on the trailer and another would rub himself on the front of the car. I would have hated to be in that car.
I love seeing the babies.
See how close this one was, right in front of the motor home, we were on our way out.
He decided he wanted to show us the way out.
This is Yellowstone Lake again, from the other side.
And here is the gate.
This is an awesome park and we're so grateful we got a chance to see it.
