San Antonio, Texas

We're staying at a campground just south of San Antonio.  Just like the campground in Louisianna, there's a "lake" in the middle of the campground, and a bunch of ducks,  It's really interesting cause they are different kinds of ducks, the white one is the leader, they all follow the white one.  Reminds me of the ducks we had on the farm when I was a kid.

Its been cold, one morning we got up and saw this outside our window, icy snow everywhere, alot of it stayed all day.

We visited The Alamo, this is where John Wayne died....hehehe, seriously, this is where Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie and many others died in battle.

It sits right in the middle of town.

After visiting the old movie set in Brackettville last year, I see how they copied the original.

But I also see some differences.  According to the diagram I got, some of the original perimeter walls have been destroyed.

It's hard to imagine that this was all wilderness such a short time ago.  Our history is so short compared to other countries.

This was an interesting building.  The poles and wires look like there would be a bridge there, but it was to support the roof of the "Alamodome"
