Corning, N.Y.

We went to the Corning Museum of Glass.  I love glass, I do stained glass and want to work with other forms of art with glass.

We took this bus from the visitors center to the museum.  It looks like there are no windows, but when you get inside, you can see out.  Really cool.

The museum was wonderful, there were so many beautiful glass creations by so many artists.

Check out this vase,  Each display listed the different processes the artest used.

It was absolutely exquisite.

Look at this, it was like they were each within the other.

The colors were outstanding.

What can I say.

This was at the ceilinng, see the cherub at the center bottom?  I presumed it was a light.

This thing was huge, all glass, had to be 12 feet tall.

Then we went to a display where the guy took hot molten glass from the fire, turned it, blew in the tube, dropped it into a mold, blew in it some more, put it back in the fire several times, added more glass, etc. etc. etc.  I was so facinated I forgot to take pictures.  This was the empty workshop, before he got there.

Then we headed to Towanda to have dinner with friends (Jim & Joan) we haven't seen for quite some time.  We will spend Sunday with them.
