We stayed in Alpine, Texas after spending the day touring Big Bend National Park. Hear we are headed for El Paso. I took over 100 pictures so this was hard to pick. Looking at the hills, I keep expecting indians to show up lined up at the top. Guess I wached too many cowboy & indian movies as a kid.
Note the fences, all propety is fenced in, gates at driveways and all.
As we approached this mountain, it looked like it was growing. It first came up as just a little tip. Doesn't it look like a giant Hershey's Kiss?

The mountains started changing, less like gravel and more like boulders.

I keep saying how big the sky is, it's just amazing, and so beautiful that day.

The colors on the mountains change, not only because of the different terraine, but also because of the clouds in the sky.

These colors are a difference in the terraine.
The hills and/or mountains in the distance look pink.
Spectacular, pictures just don't do it justice. This is a ranch, see the sign to the far left?
Look at that sky!
Another abandoned house.
The first time I've seen green for a long time.
Can you believe the speed limit?
I turned around, and there was Bruno, settled in for the trip.
