Mitchell, South Dakota

We were in a campground in Interior, S.D. that was on a dirt road, 2 miles.  There were so many grasshoppers on the sites, every time we took a step a whole slew of them jumped up.  Bruno couldn't even go to the bathroom, they spooked him out so much.  This is what the Jeep looked like when we got out of there.  There's a whole one there at the bottom of the small lower light.

We went to Mitchell, S.D. and visited the Corn Palace.  It was amazing, every year since 1892 the entire building is decorated with corn.  They use 12 different kinds, along with the stalks.

Look at this duck all done.

Here is a picture of it partially done.  They cut the ears of corn in half lenghtwise, then to whatever length they need to get the shading they need.

Here's a real close-up, you can see the different colors of corn.

This is the big picture.

While I was grilling dinner, I spotted this dragon fly in the grass, the wings are going so fast, you can't see them.
